Itinerary

14 Days of Endless Beauty and Elevated Comfort. Explore the towering baobabs and big cats of Tarangire, the lush biodiversity of Lake Manyara, the ancient landscapes and tribal heritage around Lake Eyasi, and descend into the world’s largest intact caldera—the Ngorongoro Crater. Then follow the Great Wildebeest Migration across the endless plains of the Serengeti before unwinding in the historic and exotic island of Zanzibar, where white sands and Swahili charm await.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted by your private guide and transferred to Raha Wildlife Lodge, nestled in the scenic outskirts of Arusha. The drive takes about one hour, offering glimpses of Tanzania’s stunning countryside—rolling farmlands, bustling villages, and, on clear days, views of Mount Meru.

Raha Wildlife Lodge is a tranquil retreat set amid lush gardens, providing comfortable accommodations with modern amenities. Its peaceful ambiance makes it the perfect place to unwind after your journey.

After settling in, enjoy a hearty lunch at the lodge, followed by time to relax. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner prepared by the lodge’s chefs. Your overnight stay will be accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature, setting the tone for your upcoming safari adventure.

After breakfast, you will journey to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Arusha. Tarangire spans about 2,600 square kilometers and is one of Tanzania’s most distinct parks, known for its massive baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which acts as a lifeline during the dry season. The park is also renowned for its large elephant herds, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, particularly in the dry months.

The park is home to over 500 species of birds, including the yellow-collared lovebird, tawny eagle, and the greater kestrel. Other notable wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, as well as a variety of smaller creatures like meerkats and mongooses.

You will embark on a game drive through the park, with plenty of opportunities for wildlife sightings. Lunch will be at a picnic site in the park, providing a chance to enjoy the surroundings. Afterward, you will head to Acacia Farm Lodge in Karatu for the evening.

Acacia Farm Lodge is set in a picturesque location with stunning views of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The lodge offers spacious, comfortable rooms and a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and unwind before retiring for the night.

After an early breakfast, you will head towards Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. Serengeti, covering over 14,763 square kilometers, is home to diverse ecosystems, ranging from vast savannahs to woodlands and river systems. The park is world-renowned for the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebras, and thousands of other herbivores move across the plains, followed by predators in search of prey.

Serengeti is also home to the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo – along with cheetahs, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. Birdwatchers will enjoy the more than 500 bird species in the park, including vultures, secretary birds, and kori bustards.

Lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site, and then you will embark on a game drive in central Serengeti’s Seronera Valley, one of the best areas in the park for spotting wildlife.

After a thrilling day, you will head to Acacia Bliss, a comfortable lodge within the Serengeti. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and spend the night surrounded by the Serengeti’s wildlife

You will continue your exploration with a game drive, taking in the diverse wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Lunch will again be served at a picnic site within the park, allowing you to enjoy your meal while surrounded by nature. In the late afternoon, return to Acacia Bliss for dinner and another night spent under the vast Serengeti sky.

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, a geological marvel formed millions of years ago when a volcano erupted and collapsed, creating the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater spans approximately 260 square kilometers and reaches depths of up to 610 meters. It is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to the incredible concentration of wildlife within its confines.

Ngorongoro Crater is home to large populations of buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and gazelles, as well as the endangered black rhino. The crater’s forested rim is home to leopards, while its floor features lions and elephants.
